Welcoming CPS Students
As the 2025–2026 school year begins, Cincinnati Public Schools (CPS) and Metro are continuing their decades-long partnership to provide 7th-12th graders with safe, reliable, and efficient transportation. This year, a new color-coded pass system, updated hours of student use, safety enhancements, and expanded support aim to make student travel even easier for families to navigate.

To help families feel confident and supported, Metro staff will be present at all CPS orientation events and at major transit centers during the first few days of school to assist with trip planning and answer questions. In addition, parents and guardians may ride Metro free of charge with their students from August 20–27 to ease the transition into the school year.
