Ever wondered what it’s like to sit behind the wheel of a Metro bus? Here’s your chance. Metro is hosting its Operator Career Fair Extravaganza on Saturday, August 23, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Queensgate Garage (1401 Bank Street, Cincinnati, OH 45214), where attendees can even get behind the wheel for a test-drive on a closed course.

Metro is hiring motivated individuals who are passionate about customer service and eager to make a positive impact in their community. As a Metro operator, employees play a critical role in delivering safe, reliable, and efficient transportation across the region.

At the event, job seekers can:

• Meet with Metro representatives.
• Apply and interview on-site.
• Explore Metro’s competitive benefits.
• Talk directly with current operators about their experiences.
• Test-drive a Metro bus in a safe, supervised environment.

“We are excited to welcome anyone interested in a career with Metro to join us at our Operator Career Fair,” said Brandy Jones, Metro’s Chief Communications and Marketing Officer. “This event is a unique opportunity to learn about the operator role, connect with our team, and experience firsthand what it’s like to be part of Metro.”

Metro bus operators begin at $22 per hour for trainees, increasing to $24.76 per hour after completing training and passing a trial trip. New operators will be eligible to receive a $2,000 hiring bonus upon the successful completion of their trial trip and 95-day probationary period.

Metro also provides comprehensive health and dental benefits, retirement benefits, and free transportation passes for spouses and dependents. Additionally, Metro provides free CDL training and reimbursement for CDL licensing fees ($5,000 benefit).
