Take the Wheel: Explore a Career at Metro’s Operator Fair on November 15

Curious what it’s like to drive a Metro bus? Here’s your chance to find out. Join Metro for its Operator Career Fair Extravaganza on Saturday, November 15, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Queensgate Garage (1401 Bank Street, Cincinnati, OH 45214). Attendees will even have the opportunity to test-drive a Metro bus on a safe, closed course.
Metro is seeking motivated, customer-focused individuals who want to make a difference in their community. As a Metro operator, you’ll play a vital role in providing safe, reliable, and efficient transportation for riders across Greater Cincinnati.
During the event, participants can:
- Meet Metro representatives
- Apply and interview on-site
- Learn about Metro’s competitive benefits
- Hear directly from current operators about their experiences
- Take a test-drive on a closed course
“We’re thrilled to invite anyone interested in a career with Metro to this hands-on event,” said Brandy Jones, Metro’s Chief Communications and Marketing Officer. “It’s a great opportunity to explore what it means to be a Metro operator, connect with our team, and experience the pride of serving our community.”
Metro operators start at $22 per hour during training, increasing to $24.76 per hour after successful completion of training and a trial trip. New operators are also eligible for a $2,000 hiring bonus after completing their trial trip and 95-day probationary period.
Metro offers comprehensive health and dental insurance, retirement benefits, and free transportation passes for employees, spouses, and dependents. Plus, Metro provides free CDL training and reimbursement for CDL licensing fees—a $5,000 value.
