Service Upgrades, New And Improved Bus Stop Benches Coming To Metro In March
March 3, 2023

Thirty-seven new bus stop benches have been installed across Hamilton County over the last month, and 12 routes will see schedule and run-time adjustments on Sunday, March 5, 2023.
CINCINNATI – As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance customers’ experience going Metro, 12 Metro fixed routes will see schedule and run-time adjustments early next week. Additionally, 37 new bus stop benches are being deployed across Hamilton County this spring, with hundreds more to come, also as part of the Reinventing Metro plan.
As of Sunday, March 5, the following routes will have new schedules: Rts. 5, 19, 20, 24, 27, 30, 33, 37, 43, 46, 78 and Metro*Plus. Updated schedules can be viewed and downloaded online at www.go-metro.com/schedules.
Such service adjustments are a part of Metro’s ongoing efforts to adjust our fixed-route bus service to the evolving needs of the communities we serve and to ensure that service remains as consistent and reliable as possible. These adjustments are especially critical as Metro continues to address the ongoing labor shortage, initiated by the COVID-19 pandemic, without making cuts to service.
New, Improved Amenities to Enhance Customer Experience
When Hamilton County voters passed Issue 7, that didn’t just mean bringing improved service along our fixed routes; it also meant enhanced features and amenities. As part of those continued efforts to upgrade our customer experience both on- and off-board, Metro recently installed 37 new bus stop benches across Hamilton County, with several hundred more to come over the next few years.
In 2022, Metro installed 23 new shelters at many of our busiest stops to ensure customers have a comfortable wait until their bus arrives, with even more rolling out later this year.
