To assist Hamilton County residents in accessing their polling locations for the upcoming special election on Aug. 8 in Ohio, all Metro fixed-route, Access paratransit and MetroNow! trips will be free to ride that day.

CINCINNATI – To assist Hamilton County residents in accessing their polling locations for the upcoming special election on Aug. 8 in Ohio, all Metro fixed-route, Access paratransit and MetroNow! trips will be free to ride that day. 
 
“The right to vote is a core element of our democracy, and we’re proud to do our part to ensure access to public transportation is not a barrier on election day.” said Metro CEO & General Manager Darryl Haley. “Especially with our new, on-demand service, MetroNow!, it’s never been more convenient to access your neighborhood polling locations.” 
 
Metro provides more than 40 fixed routes spanning across Hamilton County, while Access paratransit provides on-demand trips for those individuals with disabilities that prevent them from using Metro fixed-route service. MetroNow! – launched in the Springdale and Sharonville areas in May and in the Northgate and Mt. Healthy areas in July – introduced the region’s first-ever on-demand public transit service, providing a new transportation option within the two service zones at just $2 a trip. Trips on MetroNow! may be booked via the MetroNow! app or by calling 513-51-5555.
