MetroNow! Expands On-Demand Service to Forest Park and Pleasant Run
June 6, 2025

The innovative MetroNow! on-demand transit service—already transforming how Hamilton County residents get around—is expanding to Forest Park and Pleasant Run. Beginning June 8, residents in these communities will have access to efficient, flexible, and affordable transportation.
Currently operating in the communities of Springdale/Sharonville & Northgate/Mt. Healthy, MetroNow! offers a convenient service that functions similarly to popular ride-sharing platforms. Riders can easily book trips within designated zones using the MetroNow! app or by phone at (513) 551-5555, with each ride costing just $2. The service operates Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on weekends from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., offering flexible travel options throughout the week.
“As a proud Forest Park resident, I’m thrilled to see MetroNow! launching right here in our community,” said Hamilton County Commissioner Stephanie Summerow Dumas. “This service is more than just transit—it’s about connecting people to opportunity. Whether it’s jobs, healthcare, or education, MetroNow! is making it easier for residents to move forward.”
“MetroNow! has been a game-changer for Hamilton County, and the numbers speak for themselves,” said Brandy Jones, Metro’s Chief Communications and Marketing Officer. “Since its launch in May 2023, we’ve seen consistent increases in both new ridership and overall usage each month, prompting the need for expanding services.”
To celebrate the launch of the new MetroNow! zone in Forest Park and Pleasant Run, a community event was held on Friday, June 6, 2025, at the Forest Park Kroger. The celebration featured remarks from Metro Board of Trustees Chair Blake Ethridge, Metro CEO and General Manager Andy Aiello, Hamilton County Commission Vice President Stephanie Summerow Dumas, Forest Park Mayor Aharon Brown, and representatives from Kroger. The event location was fitting, as Kroger continues to be the number one destination for MetroNow! riders—underscoring how the service is helping connect residents to essential locations like grocery stores and other everyday needs.
This expansion is part of Metro’s ongoing efforts to enhance mobility and connectivity throughout Hamilton County. The Forest Park/Pleasant Run zone marks the third MetroNow! zone in Hamilton County, joining the previously launched Springdale/Sharonville and Northgate/Mt. Healthy zones. MetroNow! uses shuttle-style vehicles to deliver flexible, on-demand service—offering convenient trips to destinations within each zone while also providing connections to Metro’s larger fixed-route network. An additional MetroNow! zone is scheduled to launch in Blue Ash in 2025. For more information about MetroNow! and its services, please visit https://www.go-metro.com/riding-metro/metronow/
