Metro Offers Free Rides on Election Day
October 22, 2026
Metro is making it easier for Hamilton County residents to cast their ballots by offering fare-free rides on Election Day, November 3, 2026. Free service will be available across all Metro transportation options, including fixed-route buses, Access paratransit, and MetroNow! on-demand.
“Every voice matters, and transportation should never be a barrier to civic participation,” said Brandy Jones, Metro’s Chief Communications and Marketing Officer. “By offering free rides on Election Day, Metro is making it easier for residents to exercise their right to vote. It’s one more way we’re connecting our community to the opportunities and moments that matter most.”
All Metro fixed-route buses will follow their regular schedules. Access paratransit will provide door-to-door service for eligible individuals with disabilities, while MetroNow! will offer a flexible, fare-free option for trips within its five designated service zones.
Make Metro part of your Election Day plan. Download the Transit app to plan your fixed-route trip and track your bus in real time, or use the MetroNow! app to book an on-demand ride within your service zone.
