As a Metro team member, you will play a vital role in ensuring Metro’s passengers’ safe and efficient transportation.
Open Positions
Metro bus operators enjoy paid training, competitive pay and benefits. Applicants do not need a commercial driver’s license to apply. Qualified applicants will receive paid training by Metro to acquire their CDL, along with reimbursement for CDL fees.
Metro bus operator pay begins at $22 per hour for trainees, increasing to $23.58 per hour immediately after training, with guaranteed pay increases every six months and opportunities to earn premium pay on high-demand routes. Metro also provides comprehensive health and dental benefits, retirement benefits and free transportation passes for a spouse and dependents. New operators will be eligible to receive a $2,000 hiring bonus upon the successful completion of their trial trip and 95-day probationary period.

Starting February of 2026, Metro will host FIXED ROUTE OPERATORย career fairs on theย first and third Tuesday of every monthย to assist those interested in applying for a position. All fairs listed below (unless otherwise specified) will take place atย Metro’s Queensgate facility, located atย 1401 Bank Street, Cincinnati, OH 45214.
