CINCINNATI – Want to help improve the customer experience for all Metro riders? Interested in serving as an ambassador for public transit in our region? Join Metro’s Strategic Transit Engagement to Expand Ridership, or STEER Committee!

A community open house is being held on Monday, May 15, between 5-8 p.m. at Metro’s Access Eligibility Center, 7000 Montgomery Road in Silverton, to provide interested candidates with a behind-the-scene look at the newly renovated facility, as well as an opportunity to learn more about exciting upcoming Metro projects and how they could help shape the future of public transit on the new committee.

STEER members will use their collective knowledge and experiences using Metro’s fixed-route and Access paratransit services, as well as the needs of the local neighborhoods, businesses, medical and educational entities in our region to provide insight and advice to Metro leadership on a regular, on-going basis (meeting at least once quarterly). Metro is seeking inclusive, regional and diverse applicants for this volunteer committee that reflects the Metro service area.

Those interested in learning more about the STEER Committee are invited to attend the Open House, or they can apply online.
