Fare Deal Program
Metro's Fare Deal program allows eligible riders to obtain a Fare Deal identification card valid for half-price fares on any Metro trip.
Eligible participants include:
- Adults 65 and older
- Medicare card holders
- Riders with disabilities
- Access card holders
Those 65 years-old and older are automatically eligible; proof of age is required. Medicare card holders of any age are also automatically eligible. Riders with disabilities who don't have Medicare and are not 65 must submit an application and be certified to qualify for the program.

The facility is served by Rt. 4 Silverton-Blue Ash, Rt. 4 Kenwood-Blue Ash and Metro*Plus.
Fare Deal Card Fare:
Once approved, you will receive a "tap and show" smart card to ride Metro for half fare. Just tap your smart card on the target image on the farebox, show it to the operator and pay the amount shown on the farebox.
Fare Deal monthly stickers:
Stickers are available for $38.50 per month and allows unlimited rides and covers zone and transfer charges. Stickers can be purchased at Metro's sales office located at 120 E. 4th St. between the 15th of the preceding month through the 10th of the valid month. Please note: stickers are valid for the calendar month only – not 30 days from when you purchase your sticker.

Fare Deal Changes Coming April 2019Metro is implementing changes to its Fare Deal program aimed at making the program easier and more convenient to use. Changes include:
Metro will be mailing out new Fare Deal cards with a new design and extended eligibility within the next few weeks.
-Fare Deal cardholders who are 65 or older will have up to a 5-year eligibility term.
-All other Fare Deal cardholders may have up to 3 years of eligibility.
Beginning in April, Fare Deal applications, along with any supporting documentation, can be dropped off at Metro’s downtown sales office, 120 E. 4th St. Customers can also have their Fare Deal ID photo taken at the sales off. Applications will be accepted at Metro’s downtown sales office during the following times:
-The 2nd and 3rd Tuesday each month from 7 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.,
-The 2nd Saturday each month from 9 a.m. – noon.
Metro will still accept applications at the Silverton office, 7000 Montgomery Road, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:15 a.m. to noon and from 1-4 p.m. The Silverton office is served by Rt. 4 (Kenwood or Blue Ash) and Rt. 90 Metro*Plus.
Beginning April 15th, Fare Deal cardholders will be able to purchase monthly Fare Deal stickers as follows:
-By mail – by sending a check or money order made payable to SORTA to 1801 Transpark Drive, Cincinnati, Ohio 45229 or
-By phone – by calling 513-632-7591 or
-In person – at the Silverton office or Metro’s downtown sales office, Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
