Cincinnati Metro Receives Horace Sudduth Progressive Business Award

CINCINNATI — Cincinnati Metro has been honored with the prestigious Horace Sudduth Progressive Business Award during Visit Cincy’s Annual Meeting. This award recognizes individuals and organizations that demonstrate a sustained commitment to diversity through leadership in areas such as supplier diversity and workforce development. Visit Cincy is the official travel and tourism resource for the Cincinnati region.

The award highlights Cincinnati Metro’s dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion, both within its workforce and in the community it serves. Over the past two years, Cincinnati Metro has made significant strides in increasing spending with disadvantaged and small businesses. This commitment has earned the organization accolades, including the title of “System of the Year” from the Ohio Department of Transportation Division of Opportunity, Diversity, & Inclusion, as well as recognition as the Best Place to Work for Women of Color.

“Diversity, equity, and inclusion are not just initiatives—they are part of our core values and essential to how we serve our community,” said Brandy Jones, Metro’s Chief Communications and Marketing Officer. “This award is a reflection of our team’s dedication to creating opportunities for all and fostering meaningful partnerships that strengthen the region.
