Metro Delivers More Than 186,000 Rides During BLINK 2026

October 16, 2026

Metro once again played a key role in connecting the region to BLINK, providing 186,227 rides during the four-day festival, Oct. 8–11. Through fixed-route service and Park & Ride locations at Cincinnati State and Crossroads, Metro helped thousands of residents and visitors experience the nation’s largest immersive art and light festival.

Friday marked a major milestone, with approximately 66,000 rides recorded, nearly 14% higher than the previous single-day BLINK ridership high of 58,000. The record-setting day helped drive strong overall event ridership despite rainy conditions on Saturday.

The strong ridership highlights Metro’s ability to support major events that bring communities together, strengthen the region’s vibrancy and showcase Cincinnati as a premier destination for arts, culture and entertainment.

“BLINK is a tremendous showcase for Cincinnati, and Metro is proud to play an important role in connecting people to experiences like this,” said Brandy Jones, Metro Chief Communications and Marketing Officer. “Moving 66,000 riders in a single day demonstrates the strength and capability of our transit system. As Cincinnati continues to attract major events and visitors from across the country, Metro is ready to help our region meet that demand.”
