Metro is expanding its popular MetroNow! on-demand service to Bond Hill, Roselawn and surrounding communities, bringing flexible, convenient transportation to more Hamilton County residents and marking the first MetroNow! zone within Cincinnati city limits.

The new Bond Hill/Roselawn Zone will begin service August 30, 2026 and serve an area that includes portions of Bond Hill, Roselawn, St. Bernard, Wyoming, Lockland, Norwood, Arlington Heights, Carthage, North Avondale and Elmwood Place.

The expansion builds on the continued growth of MetroNow!, which has provided more than 350,000 rides since launching in 2023. 

Grocery stores are among the most popular destinations for MetroNow! riders, demonstrating the role the service plays in providing access to everyday necessities in addition to connections with the broader transit network.

“MetroNow! is designed to meet people where they are and make it easier to connect with the places they need to go,” said Metro CEO and General Manager, Andy Aiello. “Whether that’s a job, school, medical appointment, grocery store or a connection to another Metro route, this service gives our riders another convenient transportation option.”

The Bond Hill/Roselawn Zone connects riders with twelve Metro fixed routes, providing access to destinations throughout Cincinnati and Hamilton County. Across all MetroNow! zones, riders can connect with 23 Metro routes, nearly half of Metro’s fixed-route network.

To celebrate the launch of the new MetroNow! zone, Metro held a community celebration on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at the Community Action Agency. Speakers included Metro Board Chair Blake Ethridge, Metro CEO and General Manager Andy Aiello, Ohio State Representative Ashley Bryant Bailey (District 26), Hamilton County Commission President Stephanie Summerow Dumas, Cincinnati Vice Mayor Jan-Michele Kearney and Community Action Agency CEO Mark Lawson.

This expansion continues Metro’s commitment to improving mobility and connectivity across Hamilton County. The Bond Hill/Roselawn Zone becomes the fifth MetroNow! service area, joining the existing zones in Springdale/Sharonville, Northgate/Mt. Healthy, Forest Park/Pleasant Run, and Montgomery/Blue Ash.

MetroNow! uses shuttle-style vehicles to provide flexible, on-demand service, offering convenient travel within each zone and seamless connections to Metro’s broader fixed-route network. Riders can request a trip through the MetroNow! app or by phone to travel to destinations within the zone or connect with Metro’s fixed-route network.
