To celebrate National Bike to Work Day, Metro is offering a free ride to anyone who brings a bicycle and loads it onto a bus bike rack on Friday, May 15, 2026.

Every Metro bus is equipped with a front-mounted rack that holds up to two bicycles, making it easy to combine biking and transit for a more flexible commute. Whether you’re riding to the bus stop or using transit to tackle Cincinnati’s hills, Metro helps connect your trip.

“National Bike to Work Day highlights how transit and biking work together to give people more options,” said Brandy Jones, Metro’s Chief Communications and Marketing Officer. “Whether you’re commuting to work, heading to class, or exploring the region, combining Metro and biking offers a convenient and affordable way to get where you need to go.”

Join Metro at Breakfast on the Bridge

Metro is once again proud to sponsor Breakfast on the Bridge, hosted by Tri-State Trails.

The event will take place Friday, May 15, from 7 to 9 a.m. on the Newport side of the Purple People Bridge. Cyclists can enjoy a free breakfast, connect with local organizations, and learn more about biking in the region.

Metro staff will be on site with a demonstration bike rack so attendees can practice loading a bike onto a bus.
