Ride Free on All Metro Services This Primary Election Day
April 28, 2026
As part of its commitment to accessibility and civic engagement, Metro will provide fare-free rides across all services on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, for Ohio’s primary election.
“Access to transportation should never be a barrier to voting,” said Brandy Jones, Metro’s Chief Marketing and Communications Officer. “By offering fare-free service on election day, we’re helping ensure that more people can take part in shaping their community.”
All Metro fixed-route buses will run regular weekday schedules, offering consistent service to polling locations throughout the county. Access paratransit will be available for eligible riders who need door-to-door assistance, and MetroNow! on-demand service will also be free, giving voters additional flexibility in how they travel.
Metro will also provide fare-free rides for the general election on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
