2025 Flying Pig Marathon Detours

The Flying Pig Marathon takes place this weekend, May 3 and 4, with many Metro routes operating on detour. 

Saturday, May 3 – Flying Pig 5K,10K, & half marathon races

Rts. 27 and 28 will be on detour for these races from approximately 6:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. 

Sunday, May 4 – Flying Pig Marathon            

From approximately 5 a.m. until 3 p.m. the following Metro routes will be on detour in downtown:

• Rt. 4 – Board on 9th at Vine Street
• Rt. 6 – Board on 9th past Vine Street
• Rt. 11 – Board on 9th at Vine Street
• Rt. 16 – Board on 9th at Vine Street
• Rt. 17 – Board on 9th at Vine Street
• Rt. 19   Board on 9th at Vine Street
• Rt. 20 – Board on 9th at Vine Street
• Rt. 21 – Board on 9th past Vine Street
• Rt. 27 – Board on 9th past Vine Street
• Rt. 28 Inbound Board on 9th at Vine Street
• Rt. 32 – Board on 9th past Vine Street
• Rt. 33 – Board on 9th past Vine Street
• Rt. 43 – Board on 9th at Vine Street
• Rt. 46 – Board on 9th at Vine Street
• Rt. 49 – Board on 9th at Vine Street
• Rt. 64 – Board on 9th past Vine Street
• Rt. 78 – Board on 9th at Vine Street

The following routes will also be on detour in areas along the race course:

• Rt. 24 – MLK and Reading (inbound and outbound)
• Rt. 31 – Eastbound on Reading at Taft & Westbound on Taft past Reading
• Rt. 51- on Edwards at Madison (Eastbound/Westbound)
