CINCINNATI – Want a job that’s really going places? Become a Metro Operator!
Anyone interested in learning more about becoming a bus operator is invited to attend Metro’s Bus Operator Career Day on August 22 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Metro’s Queensgate garage, 1401 Bank St.
This is the second bus operator career day that Metro has held this summer to help interested applicants get a better idea of the job and application process.
Applicants will be able to spend the day “shadowing” a Metro operator to see what a day is like out on the road. They will also learn about the many benefits and career advancement opportunities within Metro and have the option to take the operator hiring assessment and conduct an on-site interview.
Applicants do not need to have a CDL to apply. Metro will assist qualified applicants through the process and even reimburse them for their CDL fees.
Metro offers competitive pay, comprehensive health and dental insurance, free transportation passes for spouse and dependents and retirement benefits.
Those interested in a career as a Metro operator are asked to visit www.go-metro.com to complete an online application prior to the career day. For more information and to reserve your spot at the career day call 513-632-7559.
Metro is a non-profit, tax-funded public service of the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority, providing about 17 million rides per year.
