Exchange unused 10-ride tickets for stored-value cards in December
CINCINNATI – Metro fareboxes will stop accepting 10-ride tickets on Jan. 1, 2014. Metro customers may exchange unused 10-ride tickets (value $17.50) for an equal number of $17.50 stored-value cards from Monday, Dec. 2 to Tuesday, Dec. 31.
Exchanges are available only at Metro’s sales office, 120 E. Fourth Street, Mercantile Building arcade downtown, weekdays 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Only unused 10-ride tickets will be accepted. No cash or refunds can be provided. The sales office will be closed on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, and will close at 2 p.m. on Dec. 24.
Metro stopped selling 10-ride tickets on July 31, when it transitioned to new fare options. Cash, Metro passes and stored-value cards will continue to be accepted as fare on all buses. Metro is working on additional fare options for customers.
