Since early this year, Metro has been working on the development of a short-term and long-term transit improvement plan.

CINCINNATI – Since early this year, Metro has been working on the development of a short-term and long-term transit improvement plan.  Metro collected feedback through public meetings in the spring, telephone research, on-board surveys, ridership tracking by bus stop, regional travel pattern analysis, and on-line and written surveys to assure that the plan reflects the needs and wants of the community.

Interested individuals may comment on Metro’s preliminary transit plan when it is available the week of November 12.  Metro will also offer the following public meetings about the preliminary plan:

• Nov. 13, 10-11 a.m., Clovernook Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired, 7000 Hamilton Ave.
• Nov. 13, 2-3 p.m., Cincinnati-Hamilton County Community Action Agency, 1740 Langdon Farm Rd., Room 210
• Nov. 14, 10-11 a.m., UC Blue Ash, 9555 Plainfield Rd., Walters Hall, Room 100
• Nov. 14, 7-8 p.m., Westwood Town Hall, 3017 Harrison Ave.
• Nov. 15, 10-11 a.m., Metro’s offices, 602 Main St., 12^th floor
• Nov. 15, 2-3 p.m., Cincinnati State, 3520 Central Pkwy., The Point Room (ATLC 108)
• Nov. 16, 10-11 a.m., Madisonville Rec. Center, 5320 Stewart Rd.

If a sign language or Spanish-language interpretation or translated or Brailled materials are needed, please contact Metro at least a week before the meeting date by calling 513-632-7520.

Metro will use the comments received through the public meetings and on-line surveys to refine the transit plan for presentation to the community next spring.

Metro is a tax-supported public service of the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority. Metro provides about 17 million rides per year in the City of Cincinnati and Hamilton County, with limited service to Butler, Clermont and Warren counties.
