Reinventing Metro delivers increased frequency and expanded service hours on 10 routes
CINCINNATI – Metro is celebrating the rollout of Reinventing Metro service improvements on 10 routes with 10 days of promotions. Metro will kick off the celebration Tuesday, June 1, on Government Square, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. with a live band, promotional giveaways and the chance to get your photo taken with FC Cincinnati Mascot Gary the Lion.

Reinventing Metro focuses on transportation improvements that will ultimately boost the region’s economic development and vibrancy through improved connections to jobs and new employment centers, increased frequency, expanded service hours, new routes and enhanced customer amenities.

Additional activities include festivities at the following locations:
•Montgomery & Dana bus stop,June 4, 2-4 p.m.
•Northside Transit Center, June 6, 1-3:30 p.m.
•Oakley Transit Center, June 7, 4:30-6:30 p.m.
•Jefferson & University busstop, June 10, 1-3 p.m.

Reinventing Metro Service Changes (as of May 30)

Metro will offer 24-hour service (seven days a week) on seven routes:
•Rt. 4 serving Kenwood-Blue Ash
•Rt. 11 serving Madison Road
•Rt. 17 serving Mt. Healthy
•Rt. 33 serving Glenway Ave.
•Rt. 43 serving Bond Hill
•Rt. 78 serving Lincoln Heights
•Rt. 51 crosstown from Glenway Crossing to Hyde Park

Rts. 16 (Mt. Healthy), 20 (Winton-Tri-County) and 46 (Avondale) will offer earlier and later service daily. Metro has also added new Sunday service on Rts. 16 and 20.

Each of the 10 routes will offer riders more frequent Sunday service, with wait times between buses improved by at least 10 to 15 minutes. Several of the 10 routes will also offer more frequent service on weekdays and Saturdays.
