SORTA will not ask for a Hamilton County sales tax this year

At a special meeting on July 25 at 9 a.m., the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority (SORTA) will decide whether or not to request a Hamilton County sales tax on this November’s ballot and, if so, at what level.

Once again, Metro will partner with Learning Through Art, Inc. to provide reduced fare on its Rt. 46 Avondale bus to this year’s Macy's Kids, Cultures, Critters and Crafts Festival. The festival will take place Wednesday, July 18 from 10 a.m.
to 6 p.m. at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden.

Shammout is is responsible for overseeing Metro’s planning department, infrastructure and transit center design and construction, as well long-term and strategic planning.

Metro will operate on a regular weekday schedule on Presidents Day, Monday, Feb. 19.

Wednesday, Feb. 14, 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at Government Square (Fifth Street between Main and Walnut). Free ride tickets and candy will be handed out to Metro riders. The event will end when supplies are gone.
