The following letter was sent from Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority Board Chair Jason Dunn to the SORTA Board and Metro staff concerning his resignation from the board, effective Jan. 16, 2018.

Metro buses will operate on a Holiday/Sunday schedule on Monday, Dec. 25 and Monday, Jan. 1 in observance of Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Access, Metro’s service for people with disabilities, will also operate on a Holiday/Sunday schedule on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.

Free transit rides for bicycle commuters on Bike to Work Day

Several Metro routes will be on detour due to street closures for the 2017 Flying Pig Marathon on Saturday, May 6 and Sunday, May 7.

Metro is holding ten community outreach sessions throughout Hamilton County to get public feedback on its proposed service improvement plans for the region’s bus system.

To be even more accessible to the public, the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority will hold a special evening board meeting on Tuesday, April 25 at 6 p.m.  The meeting will be held at the Community Action Agency (1740 Langdon Farm Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45237) and is open to the public.

Today, the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority board received a report from consultant AECOM, illustrating options if additional funding were available for service in Hamilton County. Three options were presented for a 10-year period, assuming Hamilton County sales tax funding of ½-cent, ¾-cent and 1-cent.
