Service Detours

Detours and service changes are a normal part of any dynamic transit system. Metro uses the detours when construction, traffic or inclement weather prevents us from following our regular route.

Metro detours are produced by Metro's Radio Communications Center employees who are in direct contact with Metro's bus operators and street supervisors.

The following detour has been put in place and will last for six months:

RT 64 (McMicken blocked)
Inbound: Via-Hopple
R-Central Pwky
L-Marshall
R-McMicken

Outbound- Via-McMicken
L-Marshall
R-Central Pkwy
L-Hopple

Bus stops relocated in St. Bernard

There will be some bus stops removed and relocated in the city of St. Bernard at the request of the municipality.  These changes will happen May 20 and 21.  View all listed relocated stops (stops being removed are in red and those being relocated are noted)

Route 2X layover will be closed on Thursdays

Beginning with May 17^th and continuing every Thursday through October the City of Madeira will be closing the layover and park and ride on Dawson Road that is used by Route 2X. The road (Dawson Road) will not close until Thursday afternoon, but the layover and park & ride spaces will be blocked off all day every Thursday. Madeira will have a farmer's market on this segment of Dawson every Thursday afternoon 2 - 8pm.

Route 2X will use the following detour routing and layover on Thursdays.
Outbound Via Euclid
R- Miami to layover on Miami in front of U.S. Bank.

 A Metro bus stop sign will be installed at this location.

Inbound
via Miami (from the temporary U.S. Bank layover)
L- Railroad Avenue
L- Center Street
L- Laurel
R- Miami
L- Euclid
to regular route.

Madeira will allow Metro customers to park in the Madeira Municipal Building parking lot on Thursdays.

The Madeira Municipal Building is located at the corner of Euclid and Miami.

Madeira will post signs at the layover on Thursday mornings (early) informing Metro customers to park at the Municipal Building.

Metro Standard Snow Detours

If you normally board your Metro bus at a stop on an uphill grade, please go to a stop at the bottom of the hill. Please be aware that a driver may need to let you off at the top or bottom of a hill to prevent the bus from becoming stuck.
