Metro’s Winter Service And Transfer Changes Start On Sunday, Dec. 4

Metro's new farebox transfers and winter service changes will go into effect Sunday, Dec. 4.

CINCINNATI - Metro's new farebox transfers and winter service changes will go into effect Sunday, Dec. 4. Sixteen routes have changes, most minor schedule time adjustments, and other changes are related to the opening of Metro's Glenway Crossing Transit Center and Park & Ride.

Farebox Changes
Starting on Dec. 4, when a customer pays for a transfer, the farebox will automatically issue the transfer and print the time that the transfer expires – 90 minutes from the time it is issued. To use on the next bus, the customer simply inserts the transfer into the slot on the top of the farebox. Zone checks, which are needed when buses travel from one zone to another, will also be issued from the farebox. Additional information about Metro's new fareboxes can be found at http://www.go-metro.com/2011fareboxes.html.
