Help Metro Pick a Seat that is "Ahhh... Just Right!"

Passengers to help Metro select new bus seats

CINCINNATI – Whether it’s a quick ride up the hill or a half-hour morning express commute, we know that a comfy seat can make all the difference on our customers’ bus ride.

That’s why we’ll need their help testing out new seat options to make sure we pick one that is, in the words of Goldilocks, “ just right.”

Manufacturers USSC Group and American Seating will be installing two seat options in a current Metro bus, which will be available for the public to sit in, test out and vote on which seat they like best.

The bus will be parked at Government Square Area E on Dec. 15 and 16 between 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. Ballots will be available for customers to select either seat A or seat B, as well as leave comments about their thoughts on both options. The seat option selected will be installed on all future Metro buses.

The manufacturers will also be installing a Q-Pod, which is a forward-facing wheelchair securement station specifically designed for transit wheelchair passengers. Customers using wheelchairs, scooters and other mobility devices are welcome to test out the new securements.

Metro is a non-profit, tax-funded public service of the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority, providing about 17 million rides per year.
