Metro Ridership Up on Western Hills Crosstown Routes

Ridership was up in September on two crosstown routes serving Metro’s Glenway Crossing Transit Center and park & ride. These east-west routes allow riders to connect to many other Metro routes and destinations without going downtown to transfer.

Rt. 41 Crosstown to MercyHealth - West Hospital, Oakley up 37% 

CINCINNATI – Ridership was up in September on two crosstown routes serving Metro’s Glenway Crossing Transit Center and park & ride. These east-west routes allow riders to connect to many other Metro routes and destinations without going downtown to transfer.

Rt. 41 Glenway Crossing-Oakley Crosstown: Ridership on the Rt. 41 Glenway Crossing-Oakley service was up 37% in September, compared to September 2013. The route connects at Glenway Crossing with routes from Delhi, Price Hill and Westwood to provide crosstown service to Uptown, Hyde Park and Oakley. Rt. 41 serves the new Mercy Health - West Hospital, operating onto the hospital’s property for convenient access.

Rt. 51 Glenway Crossing-Hyde Park Crosstown: The Rt. 51 Glenway Crossing-Hyde Park Crosstown had a 13% increase in ridership in September compared to last September. Rt. 51 provides service from Glenway Crossing to Cincinnati State, UC, UC Health, Cincinnati Children’s, Rookwood Pavilion, Hyde Park and Oakley.

Opened in 2012, the Glenway Crossing Transit Center and park & ride is located at 5080 Glencrossing Way, at the intersection of Anderson Ferry. Parking is free for park & ride patrons.
