Metro Provides Free Shuttles to Firefighters' Funeral
Shuttle buses only for firefighters and invited guests attending the service

CINCINNATI - Metro will provide 10 buses to shuttle firefighters and invited guests only from Museum Center at Union Terminal to St. Peter in Chains Cathedral for the funerals of Capt. Robin Broxterman and Brian Schira this morning.

The shuttle buses will begin running at 9:30 a.m. and will continue until late afternoon, if needed. In addition to serving Museum Center, the shuttles will also serve parking at Gest and Freeman (previously a Ford dealership).

Some Metro routes downtown may be detoured as a result of the funeral procession this morning. Supervisors will be available at detour locations to provide assistance.

"Metro frequently provides buses to firefighters in the line of duty. We extend our heart-felt sympathy to the Broxterman and Schira families and all who are mourning with them," said Metro CEO Marilyn Shazor.

Metro is a non-profit public service, providing about 23 million rides per year in the Greater Cincinnati community.
