Metro Detours in Effect;
Detour Hotline and Website Provide Information

CINCINNATI -- There are several Metro detours in effect at this time. Buses are having difficulty on some hills and untreated side streets. Cincinnati Public Schools are cancelled for the day.

Delays are expected during the morning commute, but the extent of the delays will depend on traffic conditions and weather.

Metro's Detour Hotline at 632-7538 provides a recorded message, updated continuously from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. on severe winter weather days to give the most current bus detour information. Or visit Metro's website www.go-metro.com for detour information.

Metro buses cannot stop safely on snowy hills. Customers should board at the top or bottom of hills.

The Metro call center is open weekdays 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. for complete bus-riding information at 621-4455.

A lot of people depend on Metro. Metro provides about 65,000 rides per weekday and about 25% of downtown workers ride Metro.
